FAQs
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
No, a referral is not required to see a physio! We can see any patient privately, no referral needed. However, if you are seeking physio treatment under Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Workcover, Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance or Medicare through a Chronic Disease Management Scheme, we will require a referral from your GP. If you’re not sure, our reception team will be able to answer any of your questions on 6269 2012.
Can I claim physiotherapy treatment through my private health insurance?
Yes, Atwell Physiotherapy is registered with all private health funds. We have HICAPs on site so your rebate can be processed on the spot, all we need is your private health card. Please consult your private health fund provider for rebate information as all policies differ.
